Stand and SHOUT!

Every month at Manila Elementary the students and staff focus on a specific trait. The month of April the focus was confidence to take action. At the end of the month the teachers select one student from there class that exemplifies this quality. This month Makenley was chosen from her class! I am glad that she has confidence at school and at home. Hopefully it is a trait she will carry with her forever. When you have confidence it is easier to stand up for what you believe and not worry about what others think! I think we could all use a little dose of that!

No really my kids had so much fun with Ryan, Kaycie's boyfriend, the other day. He was such a good sport letting the kids put the wig on him in the first place and then keeping it on for so long! He even ventured outside with the hot look.

My Unbelievable Sissy

So we had some wonderful news in our family on Tuesday. My sister, Keli, has been a foster parent to two little girls for over a year. On Tuesday she officially adopted them!!!! We are so excited to have this all over with! My sister has been unbelievable through this whole thing. She is amazing to me. She has so much more strength then the normal person. She has been amazing through her "child" trials. She has always been super supportive to me when I was getting pregnant....even when she knew I didn't want to be! She never, ever made me feel bad that she couldn't get pregnant and I could. She was always genuinely happy for me...I love her for it! Not everyone gets to have a cool sister like me and I just wanted to brag! I love you Keli!!

"Ice skating"

So tonight was a rare night at our house. The kids were allowed to step on the pool cover. This is usually a huge no no,(it can hold a ton of weight on it, that is the whole point of having it on there is so that no one can fall in the pool unattended, but not the best toy so it is a no,no at our place.) but Corey was out there earlier getting water off and said it was frozen solid.....so we decided to "ice skate" right on top of the pool!

Maycie was a little reluctant to try but with some coaxing we got her out there with me. What a POSER! Sat CHEESE!

The girls showing off their moves! We had a few spills but for the most part they stayed on their feet. I don't know if they had more fun because they were sliding around or just the mere fact that they were on top of the pool cover!

Who knows maybe we will start charging for a season pass or something swimming in the summer, skating in the winter??
